Student Photographer May Be Charged for Trespassing While Photographing Cows
The Lantern, the student-published university newspaper at Ohio State University, reports that a student and photographer for the newspaper, Alex Kotran, was detained and may be charged with trespass for photographing cows that had gotten loose. A photo of the event shows that Kotran was not in danger of being trampled by the cows and was not interfering with the police. The police may have not wanted photos of them as they as they tried to corral the cows. The Lantern also reports that neither the University nor the newspaper will provide a defense attorney for Kaplan, citing a conflict of interest.
